Building Info
Our History
Over the 13 years of its existence, New Life Covenant Church has grown into a vibrant, ambitious body whose services and outreaches truly echo its mission: Building lives together to make fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Each week, a contemporary worship experience serves to connect, strengthen and empower those of all ages in attendance, both individually and corporately.
The childrens department, currently serving over 60 children weekly, continues to expand and experiment with innovative techniques of nurturing young lives and preparing them for the days ahead. New Life Covenant's childrens outreaches and summer programs not only attract current members, but also catch the attention of extended family, friends, and neighborhood guests.
Approximately 30 youth attend midweek services on Wednesday nights, each participating in passionate acts of worship and community service as an outward sign of the inward change fostered by Christ's work in our body.
Truly, if the past is any indication of things to come, future is bright for New Life Covenant Church!
What We Believe
New Life Covenant is an independently-affiliated, nondenominational Protestant congregation. We believe the work beginning in the New Testament Church as recorded in the book of Acts is still proceeding today under the direction and empowerment of the Holy Spirit.
The Bible is the basis for our faith. The Bible is God-inspired revelation, a book without error exposing and expressing the will of God.
(II Tim. 3:15-17, I Peter 1:23-25, Heb. 4:12)
As the Bible teaches, there is one God, eternally existing in three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit - each possessing all the attributes of the God-head. This is referred to as the Trinity.
(Matt. 28:19, John 1:1, 14, Matt. 3:16-17)
God created humans to fellowship with Him and enjoy intimate personal relationship with Him. Humanity defied God by voluntarily transgressing against God and going its own way. As a result, every person needs Gods saving grace to end separation from God. Salvation comes only through God's grace and not through human effort. Each person must receive salvation individually by faith and thereby become a "Christian."
(Gen. 1:26-31, Rom. 5:8, 3:23, 6:23, John 3:16, Rom. 10:9-10, Eph. 1:13,2:8).
What We Believe (Continued)
Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity, lived a sinless life on earth and voluntarily paid for every person's sin by dying on the cross as his or her substitution. This provided salvation for all who will receive Gods free gift of grace by trusting in Him alone. Jesus not only died for every persons sin but also rose from the dead to give eternal life to everyone who places confident trust (faith) in Him. Jesus forever lives and is the mediator by which all believers enter into an intimate personal relationship with God. (II Cor. 5:17, Rom. 5:8, Eph. 2:13, Rom. 10:9-13, John 3:16, Rom. 9:33, Col. 1:13, Gal. 2:20, John 14:6, I Tim. 2:5, Heb. 7:25, Rom. 8:34)
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity. He draws all those separated from God to Christ. He also equips believers in Christ for personal growth and service. He leads and empowers the believers (the Church) in its present day mission.
(John 16:8, Matt. 9:38, John 14:16-17, 14:26-27, 16:13, Acts 1:8)
The Church is the Body of Christ. The Church's role is to glorify God by continuing to do the will of God in this world.
(I Cor. 12:12, 18, 27, Rom. 12:4, Eph. 1:22-23, 5:30)
In the end, everyone will experience bodily resurrection and judgment. Only those who have placed their confident trust (faith) in Christ will enjoy eternal fellowship with God.
(Matt. 25:32-46, 7:21-23, Rev. 19:20, 20:10-15, I Cor. 15:51-52, I Thess. 4:16-17)
